New NST Honda Fit L15 CR-Lite Pulley

NST has added the Honda Fit 1.5L L15 to the list of cars for which NST pulleys are now available.

Please tell your friends:
http://www.nonstoptuning.com/pKitHonFit.html

The NST Lite series is a designation used for pulleys that are light-weight versions of their OEM counterparts. All NST pulleys are built using High quality 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum and are easily 60% to 70% lighter than steel or cast iron OEM pulleys.

The NST Lite series is designed for owners looking to reduce weight and increase the throttle response of their engines. These OEM-diameter pulleys will neither underdrive nor overdrive the associated accessories, yet lead to great throttle response and improved horsepower numbers in many applications.

Each NST Honda Fit Pulley is carefully crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, tested and balanced to high tolerances. Every NST Pulley is then hard anodized for exceptional durability and is a great item for use at the track or on the street.

Available in your choice of colors: Red or Graphite Gray.

Thank you for your continued help and support everyone, we certainly do appreciate it. Good luck and have fun with all your projects!

NST K20 Kit in Import Tuner Power Pages

Visit your favorite booksellers this week and ask for the September 2008 issue of IMPORT TUNER magazine. The NST K20 Kit for the Honda Civic Si is featured in Power Pages!

The Import Tuner Si was dyno tested at Skunk2 in Southern California on a Superflow Chasis Dyno and peak numbers rose +3.4hp and +4.0tq. Power and torque were up accross the entire RPM band and certain areas saw gains as high as +4.5hp and +6.1tq. Very very impressive for a $200 modification.

Some excerpts from the Import Tuner Power Pages include:

"Reducing rotational mass is always a reliable way to gain a few ponies on nearly any engine. NST's lightweight pulleys saved 4.2 pounds compared to the OEM ones, and do not under drive the alternator- meaning no dead batteries or dimming lights from an under-active alternator. The NST pulleys are CNC-machined from 6061 T6 aluminum billets, balanced to tighter-than-OE tolerances, and available in anodized ... finishes"

"After two installment of Power Pages and the addition of six basic bolt-on parts, our Civic Si has become a rolling billboard for the way in which aftermarket modifications can improve upon OE engineering. ... more free power was found by replacing the K20's heavy cast pulleys with lightweight billet aluminum NST replacements. Also impressive is that as power grew, demand for additional fuel didn't. Modifications completed to this point only served to increase our K20Z3's efficiency- meaning we'll see increased reliability and fuel efficiency from our new Si, alongside more power. ...As long as we can keep from driving it with a lead foot!"

Formula Drift Las Vegas 2008

Formula Drift hit Sin City for the first time during its fifth season of running the professional drift series in the USA.

Practice and top16 unseeded qualifying took place Friday night from 6pm to 1am. Top16 seeded drivers joined those who qualified to fill the field of 32 cars Saturday night. The tandem battles were intense; some of the best runs we have seen all season included the number1 seed being upset by the number16 seed!

Five Corolla AE86 cars, including the 20V 100shot nitrous ASPEC car driven by Japanese top gun Toshiki Yoshioka, joined the field and did very well. In the end Yoshioka took down several top seeded drivers- Verdier (WRX), Millen (Solstice), Hubinette (Viper), and Yoshihara (GTO)- to take home the top trophy.

The NST powered AE86 of Tommy Suell, a resident of Las Vegas and senior member of Vegas Drift did very well in his first time out with his entirely new setup. Tommy made some very clean runs and barely missed top16 by falling less than 1mph short of the required 85mph entry speed requirement. Tommy plans to participate in Seattle for the next round of Formula Drift and plans to make some serious smoke. Look for the NST/Allegiant sponsored blue AE86 in Seattle's FD Round5, August 2008!
